Історія/Про нас :
24.02.2022 – українці усього світу прокинулись у реальності, де їх Батьківщина, родичі, друзі, міста, домівки знаходяться у смертельній небезпеці. Де відтепер знають що таке війна не тільки з книжок та розповідей старших поколінь.
Жоден з нас не зміг стояти осторонь – після першого шоку хтось кинувся збирати гуманітарну допомогу, хтось організовувати фінансову підтримку, хтось розшукувати рідкісні медикаменти чи армійське спорядження, продумувати логістику та гуртуватися у волонтерські спільноти.
26 лютого на головній площі м. Лінц зібралася велика демонстрація на підтримку України, що стала відправним поштовхом для об’єднання активістів громади в одному місці задля однієї справи.
Водночас хвиля біженців з України докотилася і до Верхньої Австрії. Новоприбулі люди потребували не тільки речей першої необхідності і даху над головою, але термінової допомоги в орієнтації на новій місцевості – фізичній та бюрократичний.
На початку березня активістка Оксани Кузьо створила центр допомоги і зустрічей для українців, вимушено переселених до Верхньої землі Австрії. Так, за підтримки університету мистецтв м.Лінц, в його приміщенні на Hauptplatz 6, з’явився Info Point for Ukrainians.
З перших днів до роботи центру долучилась велика кількість українців, які невтомно консультували людей, сортували гуманітарну допомогу, ділились досвідом та інформацією.
Перші тижні це була велика інформативна та бюрократична допомога. Оксана створила сайт на фейсбуці, де постійно оновлювалась перевірена та перекладена інформація українською мовою.
Згодом, разом з активістами ми заснували ферайн Ukrainische Community in OÖ, Point of Ukraine.
Тепер в нашому центрі, окрім допомоги, ми проводимо* спільні обіди, кавування і зустрічі, заняття німецькою, тренування по йозі, терапевтичні зустрічі, спільні творчо-музичні заняття. Також, у співпраці із Volkshochschule Linz було проведено інтенсивний курс німецької для дітей, з кунстуні – курс малювання, з директором Schwarzen Bären, Michael Nell – зустріч з роботодавцями готельного та ресторанного бізнесу, де зацікавлені українці напряму знайшли роботу.
Ми маємо в планах збільшувати масштаби нашої допомоги. Тому є дуже відкриті до різного роду співпраці і вдячні будь-якій допомозі.

Ukrainische Community in OÖ, Point of Ukraine
“Point of Ukraine” is the Help/Support Center created by the volunteers of Ukrainian community in Upper Austria with an aim of supporting their own nationals. This is the location helping Ukrainians to receive advisory service of integration questions in the native language, it also provides immediate subsistence needs, friendly support and care of a physical and mental health, cultural, entertaining, and educational events.
Point of Ukraine functional directions:
– Supporting activity of the Ukrainian community in the Upper Austria;
– Establishing and developing work for the online and offline platforms which provide
co-operation and communication for the Ukrainians in the Upper Austria;
– Supporting and supplying the victims of war in Ukraine;
– Informational, financial and humanitarian aids for Ukrainians who had to run away from the war
to Austria;
– Standing for children, for the youth and the students who suffered from the war;
– Supporting and cooperating with the Ukrainian school Promin in Linz and Ukrainian church; – Favoring cultural exchange among Austrian community and Ukrainians in Austria;
– Developing historical and educational exchange, as well as relationships between
organizations in Austria and Ukraine;
– Providing integration of Ukrainians into Austrian society.
Our story:
24.02.2022, early morning, Ukrainians woke up in the reality of a life hazard, death risk to their homeland, families, friends, to their cities and homes. Now people absurdly experience this grief as if it had risen from the books and stories of their elderly generations.
None of us could stay aside – right after first stage of shock some of us started collecting humanitarian aids, arranging financial support, others were searching for the rare medicines or army equipment, logistics ways or connecting volunteer communities.
On February 26th there was held a large demonstration-march at the main square in Linz aiming to support Ukraine; this gave a push for uniting the activists of the community in one place and for creating one mutual practice.
Alongside the wave of refugees from Ukraine also reached the Upper Austria. New-coming people needed not only the essential things and dwellings, but also an immediate help in understanding the location: how to manage it physically and in the legal sense.
At the beginning of March, the activist Oksana Kuzo has created the center of help and meetings for the forcibly displaced Ukrainians in Upper Austria. She has also created the Info Point for Ukrainians with the uphold of the Linz University of Arts supplying it with the rooms on its base within Hauptplatz 6.
From the first days there were so many Ukrainians taking part in the volunteering process. Tirelessly they kept sorting pieces of humanitarian aids, consulting people, sharing their experience and all possible information.
For the first weeks it became a great information and red-tape help. There was created a Facebook platform with the most trusted info translated into Ukrainian which was constantly updated.
Later on, together with activists we organized the union of the Ukrainian Community in Upper Austria, named the Point of Ukraine. Since then, we hold in our center friendly
dinners, coffee meetings, lessons of German language, yoga-trainings, creative lessons of music.
Moreover, with contribution of the Volkshochschule in Linz we held the intensified course of German language for children. With the support of the Kunstuni we arranged the course of painting. And with the help of the Schwarzen Bären director, Michael Nell we organized the meeting with the employers in the sphere of hotel and restaurant business, which is the direction for Ukrainians to have found job positions.
We’re intended to enlarge the scale of our help; thus, we are opened to any kind ofcooperation and we will be grateful for any kind of support.
